Crianças, adolescentes e profissionais dos sistema de garantia de direitos participaram da 12ª Caminhada do Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA), na manhã desta quarta-feira (13), em comemoração ao 26º aniversário da promulgação do ECA. Com o tema “Direito à Vida”, a caminhada realizada pelas ruas do Centro da capital baiana teve o objetivo conscientizar a população sobre necessidade que toda sociedade tem de resguardadas a infância e a adolescência das diferentes formas de violência.
Durante o trajeto, a secretária municipal de Promoção Social, Esporte e Combate à Pobreza (Semps), Ana Paula Matos, falou sobre importância das crianças e adolescentes conhecerem seus direitos. “É dever do Estado, do Município e da família cuidar de vocês. Se alguém tentar maltratá-los, ligue para o Disque 100, procure o conselheiro tutelar, a diretora da escola, porque nós existimos para cuidar de vocês.”
A titular da Semps destacou também que “o sucesso desta caminhada, a maior realizada em todos este anos em Salvador, foi fruto do trabalho dos 90 conselheiros tutelares estão exercendo suas atividades com todo o amor e fazendo do seu trabalho uma missão.” completou.
