O espirito olímpico já tomou conta dos alunos da rede municipal de ensino de Salvador. Mais de seis mil estudantes de 55 escolas municipais participam até sábado (16) do Festival Estudantil Municipal (FEM), iniciado na manhã desta terça-feira (12), no ginásio de esporte da Associação Atlética Banco do Brasil (AABB), em Piatã. Música, desfile com alunos representantes das modalidades esportivas e recreativas e muita emoção marcaram a solenidade de abertura do torneio. Na sequência, mais de 400 alunos de karatê se apresentaram para o público.

 

Dentre os atletas, a pequena Olívia Maria Palagani, que com apenas 9 anos já é campeã baiana de karatê, terceira colocada no campeonato brasileiro e está treinando como gente grande para o próximo campeonato nacional, no mês de setembro, no Ceará. “Ano passado eu fui para Pernambuco competir, foi inesquecível. Aprendi com o karatê a ser uma aluna melhor, ser uma pessoa boa, ser solidária com meus colegas e eu não quero nunca deixar de praticar esse esporte que é a minha vida. Meu sonho é um dia competir em uma Olimpíada”, disse emocionada.

 

Para a secretária municipal da Educação, Joelice Braga, o festival é um momento mágico para os alunos da rede municipal. “Não só porque estamos vivendo o momento único das Olimpíadas no Brasil, mas pela importância do esporte na vida dos nossos alunos. Trazer o esporte para Educação é, de fato, promover saúde, convivência, solidariedade. Um festival como esse não apenas colabora no processo educativo escolar, mas também com a formação do cidadão, levando os princípios que regem o esporte para dentro da casa deste aluno”, comemorou.

 

O evento é realizado pela Secretaria Municipal de Educação (Smed), em parceria da Secretaria de Promoção Social, Esporte e Combate à Pobreza (Semps) e é parte das atividades preparatórias das Olimpíadas 2016. A titular da Semps, Ana Paula Matos, e o secretário do Escritório Salvador Cidade Global, Jorge Khoury, também participaram da abertura do evento, que integra o Festival de Esporte e Lazer do Município de Salvador.  O FEM, realizado para os estudantes da rede municipal de ensino, tem como objetivo fomentar a cultura esportiva escolar, vivenciada sob a forma de atividades recreativas e de jogos esportivos integrados à prática pedagógica esportiva e cultural.
